Hi Michelle, Just chanced upon your message. I am descended from a Henry Mepham my gt grandfather and (with the assistance of Melida Sheffield) have traced my family tree back to 1700. I'm looking for a Mepham, male, born in approx 1819/1820 in Battle, first name on a lot of documentation such as daughters birth certificate and Royal Marine enlistment papers Job but I have found a death certificate for his son where he is named as Joseph. His wife was called Rachel, maiden name Clarke, again I'm not sure of the spelling. I have tried all the on-line stuff to try and find him but to no avail. He doesn't even appear on any census as far as I can ascertain. Can anyone help me please otherwise I'm stuck in a dead end for this branch of the family. |
