I have just read a great historical novel by Laurence J Brown that gives a great account of the 1066 battle. I have not been to Battle or Hastings, but certainly want to visit to see where it all happened now that I have a bit more knowledge of the event. If anyone is planning a trip to Battle, or is just interested in that period, then I highly recommend reading this book. |
